One FAT Cat

Sprinkles, a 33-pound female domestic short-haired cat is pictured, Thursday April 23, 2015, at The Crooked Tail, home of S.O.S. Sea Isle Cats, Inc. in Sea Isle City, N.J. (Michael Ein/The Press of Atlantic City via AP)

This poor 33-pound cat, that is so large it cannot roll over, has been taken in by a South Jersey animal rescue group, reports say.

Sprinkles was surrendered to the non-profit S.O.S. Sea Isle City Cats last week after a house foreclosure, the Press of Atlantic City reports.

Average 4-year-old cat size
"We've seen fat cats at 20 to 25 pounds but this is just obscene," volunteer Stacy Jones Olandt told the Press and compared the cat's size to a person weighing more than 600 pounds.

A healthy weight for the 4-year-old feline is 10 pounds, but the Daily Mail reports she is expected to recover.

The cat will need a tummy-tuck though so her skin doesn't drag on the floor, according to the report.
